Nate's 5k
In Loving Memory of Nathan Charles Shull
Second Yeoman Shull served our country in the Navy for four years and was working to become a Navy Seal. With his last physical for the Navy Seal program, the doctors found a mass in the inner part of his right thigh. He was diagnosed with Clear Cell Sarcoma January 27, 2007.
The doctors gave Nate ten months to live. He went through numerous surgeries, intense chemotherapy and radiation treatments. He wanted to live so badly, but after an amazing fight he was ready to go be with God. Nate was loved and respected in the Navy and by everyone who knew him.
This 5K is in honor of Nate and his dream to be in a marathon. It will take place on August 4, 2012, in Howe, Indiana at the fire station. Registration starts at 7:00 A.M. and race starts at 8:00 A.M. More information is available on the Event's Facebook Page.
